I know. You want to bring your beloved one to a dream destination, you want to spend the afternoon walking through cozy romantic streets and majestic avenues. You want to give that person the most romantic getaway experience. Well, I'm not going to tell you where to find the perfect romantic getaway.
But I would, however, like to suggest some romantic destinations in Europe. And when you think about it, not many people will find it odd that I placed the Heartland of Great Britain as one of the romantic destinations in Europe. Though England is a very large country that is composed of numerous cities, a lot of the more famous ones are in the North of England.
You can begin your romantic getaway in the North.
When it comes to the North of England, one city stands out in my mind. Not because it is my favorite city or because it is the first city I went to in my life. No, the city that I most want to mention in this article is Manchester.
Manchester United. Manchester is one of the most famous supporters of the Manchester United team as well as one of the most famous cities in the entire country. When visiting Manchester, you are sure to be impressed by the impressive stadium the club use. The impressive facility has been operational since nationalism and has been in use since 1923. If you are someone who likes to enjoy a night out, then you have plenty of choice where to go.
There are plenty of other bars and clubs in the city as well. I'm sure I don't need to mention where the best places are to dance and drink. But for those who are more serious about their choice of beverages, you might want to look at the places I have mentioned.
When it comes to food, Manchester is not going to be short of restaurants. Some of the more notable restaurants would include Angel, Cathedral Road, and Salford Quays. These are just some of the more popular restaurants in the city, but you're bound to find something to suit your taste. I'm sure you're going to love dining in Manchester.
Now that you know the main attractions, it is time to get to them. One of the first places you want to visit is Manchester Cathedral. This gothic cathedral is known worldwide due to the remarkable features it has. If you're into architecture, this is the place to see.
If you have plenty of time to spare, you have two other excellent sites to visit. These are Pompey's Battlefield and Manchester Castle. While Pompey's Battlefield is a military site, Manchester Castle is a more leisurely, historical destination.
I would say that if you have plenty of time to spare, then you have no excuse not to include these places in your tour.
Finally, there are a few free things to do in Manchester. You can take a peek at the city's free museums, visit the Quarry Bank Mill or take a Metro City Segway tour. With such a large amount of things to do, you should have no trouble finding something interesting to do.
To conclude, there are many things to do in Manchester. If you are into architecture, Manchester has a lot of it. If you are into Manchester United, then the stadium in the city is worth visiting. If you happen to be into gardens, then you should take a trip to Canterbury Gardens. Whatever you there for, Manchester has a lot to offer. It would be a nice getaway if you use the tips I presented to you. Good luck and happy travels.
